Research

Stream students studying for a PhD will be primarily located at one of the five Stream universities for a three year programme. Research Engineers studying for an EngD award may tackle one or several research projects and can expect to spend around 75% of their time on this component of the programme, working directly with the sponsoring organisation and being primarily located there.

In addition to representing a significant achievement in addressing challenging science and engineering issues of practical importance to the water sector, the EngD thesis is required to include an element of business evaluation (eg. marketing, finance, investment, management, technology assessment, cost-benefit).
